Magnolia trees in full bloom, afternoon tea, and a fascinating talk about the restoration of this incredible church that's been standing since 1724. 🌸 I was there on behalf of the London chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Canon Peter Babington walked us through the work being done to preserve the building, and honestly, I could have listened for hours. There's something special about hearing someone talk passionately about protecting a piece of London's history. Oh and fun fact I learned: you can actually eat magnolia petals. Who knew? 😄 These are the moments I love about living in London. You think you know this city and then you walk into a 300-year-old church on the Strand and learn something completely new. Being part of a sorority that values showing up for our communities is something I'll never take for granted. Sometimes community engagement isn't a big event.
