What's Really Happening to London Property in 2026?
✨ Damp and mould rules are about to get stricter for landlords. Here's exactly where things stand today Awaab's Law already sets fixed legal timelines for social housing to investigate and fix damp, mould and other serious hazards — and the government has confirmed it's extending into the private rented sector too. As of today, that extension is still out for consultation. No confirmed start date for private landlords yet. But here's the thing: damp and mould complaints are already one of the fastest routes into a dispute, law or no law.
