Property Tours In Belgravia

If you’re anything like me, you will have binge-watched the “Buying London” series on Netflix as soon as it came out. Many viewers were wowed by the neighbourhoods, properties, and lifestyles across London and further afield, and the various options depending on your location choice.

In this video, I will take you through some current properties in one of the most beautiful neighbourhoods featured on the show—Belgravia. Let’s explore why it offers high-end luxury living in an historic area of the city.

Why Belgravia?

Belgravia is a prestigious address, with its development by the Grosvenor family beginning in the 1820s. The primary architect was Thomas Cubitt, who laid out many of the elegant squares and terraces that define the area to this day. In the 19th century, aristocrats and the wealthy flocked to the area for its white stucco terraces, grand squares, and lush gardens. Although it suffered some damage during WWII, Belgravia retained its character. The latter half of the 20th century saw an influx of international residents, making it a cosmopolitan area. Today, Belgravia is synonymous with luxury and exclusivity, home to celebrity residents such as Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber, Sean Connery, Roger Moore, and even Ian Fleming. Recent notable residents include Chelsea FC owner Roman Abramovich and Lord Saatchi & Nigella Lawson. Diplomats and embassy staff also reside here due to the presence of several embassies. Notable garden squares in the area include Belgrave Square, Eaton Square, Chester Square, and Wilton Crescent Garden.
